2

Open Muse and add a custom connector

In Muse, paste the prompt below. Muse reads our endpoint and walks you through signing in to Soloft.

Paste this into Muse Connect a custom MCP server at https://mcp.soloft.io/mcp so I can ask questions about my clients, invoices, projects and schedule.
3

Choose what Muse can do

Soloft shows a permission screen listing every area. Read permissions let Muse look. Write permissions let it create and update records on your behalf. Nothing in Soloft emails a client, sends an invoice or takes a payment through Muse.

Why Soloft, not just a chat window?

Common questions

Does the Muse connector cost extra?

No. Any Soloft account can connect it, trial or paid. Once a trial ends without a subscription the connector pauses and tools return a subscription message until you subscribe; you don't need to reconnect.

Can Muse email my clients or send invoices?

No. Muse can create records and drafts. Invoices stay drafts until you send them from Soloft, and no tool sends email or messages to your clients.

Can Muse delete anything?

No. The connector has no delete tools, and it cannot change billing, integrations, team access or account settings.

Can I see what Muse has done?

Under Settings → Connected apps you can see each connected app and disconnect it at any time. The connector keeps an audit log of each tool call (which tool, when, and whether it worked) that does not record your data.

Is my data secure?

Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Access tokens are short-lived (one hour), limited to the permissions you approved, and bound to the Soloft MCP server so they can't be used anywhere else. The connector never exposes payment-provider tokens, calendar tokens or other credentials.

Will Soloft be in the official Muse connector directory?

We're applying to Muse's connector programme. While that review is ongoing, the custom connector route above works identically.

Does it work with other AI assistants?

Yes. https://mcp.soloft.io/mcp is a standard remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP with OAuth), so any compatible client can use it. Technical details are in the docs.
